Deputy First Class Tyler Cooke

Deputy Cooke graduated from Brattleboro Union High School in June 2003.

Following High School he attended American International College in Springfield, Mass. where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice in May of 2007.

Following college Deputy Cooke returned to Vermont, where he was hired by the Vernon Police Department in March 2008. In June 2009 he made the decision to transfer to the Windham County Sheriff's Department.

Deputy Cooke graduated from the 93rd Full-Time Basic Training for Police Professionals in May 2012.

Deputy Cooke handles a workload which includes; a variety of Details, Patrol, Court, and Criminal, Juvenile and Mental Health Transports for the Sheriff's Department.

In 2010 Deputy Cooke was given the opportunity to participate in an Extradition Transport with Corporal Shepard. The pair traveled to Michigan and transported a prisoner back to Vermont to face charges in Windham County.

Deputy Cooke currently holds certifications in Radar and LIDAR enforcement, DUI Enforcement, OC Spray, and VIN Verrifications.

Deputy Cooke is a second generation Law Enforcement Officer and is proud to serve those of Windham County.
