Man Arrested for DLS and Outstanding Arrest Warrant

Description: On March 11th, 2018 at approximately 1813 hours DFC Ian Tuttle was on patrol on Bellows Falls Rd in the Town of Putney when he observed a vehicle with an equipment violation. DFC Tuttle initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and ultimately identified the operator as James A. Dyer Jr, 30, formerly of Cambridgeport Vermont.

Through investigation it was determined that Dyer had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in Windsor Superior Court Criminal Division. It was further determined that Dyer was criminally suspended in the State of Vermont.

Dyer was arrested and processed. He was issued a citation to appear in Windsor Superior Court Criminal Division to answer to the warrant and a citation to appear to answer to the DLS charge in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Divison at a later date. Dyer was transported to Southern State Correctional Facility to be held for lack of $1500 bail.
