**Update** Aggravated Assault in Westminster

Charges: Aggravated Assault with a Weapon and Burglary



On 3/4/2019 two warrants were issued for Wetherby's arrest for the following charges, Violation of Probation, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon and Burglary into an Occupied Dwelling.

The victim is still currently hospitalized for the injuries sustained. The Windham County Sheriff's Office urges anyone with information to contact law enforcement immediately. Any persons helping or assisting Wetherby in avoiding arrest will be subject to charges for Felony Obstruction of Justice.

Wetherby is a white male approximately 5'10, 130lbs with a shaved head. Last seen wearing a camouflage jacket and hoodie, blue jeans and brown boots.


On the morning of 3/2/2019 the Windham County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault in the Town of Westminster. Upon arrival a male victim was identified and transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital with severe injuries. The assailant was identified as John-Victor Wetherby of Bellows Falls, VT. Wetherby fled the scene prior to the Sheriff’s Office arrival. The Windham County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Wetherby for Aggravated Assault with a Weapon and Burglary. If you have seen or know the location of Wetherby, please contact the Windham County Sheriff’s Office at 802-365-4942. Do not make contact or attempt to detain Wetherby, contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
