Notice Against Trespass

Vermont law typically allows the owner or authorized agent to notify someone they are not permitted on their property. This can be done via signage or using a notice to an individual person. There is no obligation for this notice to be delivered by law enforcement, though law enforcement can act as an agent to do so.

Complaints can be completed using our online portal here by creating a new ticket and choosing Compliments and Complaints as a topic. You'll need to register for an account with a valid email.

In Person

A person may come to our office in Brattleboro to file a complaint in writing or verbally.
