Part-Time Dispatcher

The Windham County Sheriff's Department is currently seeking people for employment as dispatchers for our regional dispatch facility. Successful candidates will meet the following criteria: be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma, possess excellent communication and decision making skills, be familiar with computers, have the ability to answer multiple telephones and radios under emergency situations, be able to quickly and accurately enter data, have exceptional moral ethics and character and be able to perform all necessary functions of the job.

The application process includes; application, interview/oral board, background investigation and criminal/motor vehicle records check.

We are involved in many community-oriented events and have special units such as a School Resource Officers in area schools, an Investigator with the Southeastern Unit for Special Investigation, underage drinking enforcement, DUI enforcement, aggressive driving task forces, snow mobile enforcement and more.
