DUI #1 Arrest - Westminster

Charges:

1) Driving under the influence first offense

Description: On the aforementioned date, a Deputy with the Windham County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle in Westminster, Vermont after observing several violations. Subsequent investigation revealed indications that the operator identified as Anthony Semenuk was impaired by alcohol. Semenuk was transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department for processing. Semenuk was then released on a citation to appear in court at a later date.

Criminal DLS Arrest - Putney

1) Criminal DLS

Description: On the Aforementioned date, a deputy with the Windham County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle in the Town of Putney Vermont. Subsequent investigation determined the operator of the vehicle identified as Jayden Cormier was criminally suspended in the State of Vermont. Cormier was placed under arrest and transported to the Windham County Sheriff's Office for processing. Cormier was then released on a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court - Criminal Division - Windham Unit at a later date.

Date: July 6th, 2025
Location: South Pine Banks Road, Route 5, Exit 4 Sunoco
Investigating Deputy: Deputy Thomas Raymond

Accused: Trevor Thibault
Age: 22
City & State of Residence: Brattleboro, Vermont

Charges:

1) Driving under the influence first offense
2) Cruelty to a Child

Description: On the Aforementioned date deputies with the Windham County Sheriff's Office responded to a the Exit 4 Sunoco gas station for a reported assault that had occurred in Putney, Vermont. Subsequent investigation determined that Trever Thibault age 22 had driven from a residence in Putney to the gas station impaired to the point he was unsafe to operate a motor vehicle. Additionally there was a juvenile inside of the vehicle at the time of operation. Thibault was placed under arrest and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing where he was then released to a sober adult.

This case remains open and is still being actively investigated by the Windham County Sheriff's Office and more arrests are expected.

Age: 29
City & State of Residence: Newfane, Vermont

Charges: Criminal DLS

Description: On July 11th, 2025 at approximately 1642 hours the Windham County Sheriff's Office while on patrol in the town of Newfane Vt conducted a motor vehicle stop on route 30 by the elementary school after observing a traffic violation.

Subsequent investigation revealed the operator identified as Anna M. VanAlstyne age 29 of Newfane had a criminally suspended license in the State of Vermont. VanAlstyne was place under arrest and transported to the Windham County Sheriff's Office for processing. VanAlstyne was then released on a criminal citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.
