Arrest for Negligent Operation and Excessive Speed in Westminster

Description: On 08/19/24 at approximately 1537 hours, Hina Khan was arrested by the Windham County Sheriff's Office after the vehicle she was operating was observed to be traveling 105 mph in the posted 65 mph speed zone. Sgt. Norton initially checked the speed of the vehicle coming up behind him at 97 mph and observed the vehicle accelerate up to 105 mph after it passed the marked WCSO patrol vehicle from behind. Hina was released from the scene on a citation to appear in the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date. She was also issued a traffic ticket for the civil speeding violation.
