Motor vehicle crash-Arrest for DLS-Warrant-Westminster

Description: On September 5th, 2024, at approximately 9:15 pm, a deputy with the Windham County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported motorcycle crash on Patch Rd. near the intersection of Morse Brook Rd. in the Town of Westminster. Golden Cross Ambulance and the Westminster Fire/Rescue responded as well.

Upon arrival, the deputy located the operator of the motorcycle, identified as, Joshua Snide along with the motorcycle at the aforementioned intersection. Investigation revealed that Snide lost control of his motorcycle while driving eastbound on Patch Rd. Snide's motorcycle left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Further investigation revealed that Snide's privilege to operate a motor vehicle was criminally suspended in Vermont, he violated he conditions of release by operating a motor vehicle, and he had an active arrest warrant. Snide was transported by ambulance to the Springfield Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Snide was issued a criminal citation to appear on 10/29/24 at 8:00 am and lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility later in the evening. Officers from the Bellows Falls Police Department assisted in this investigation.
