Part Time Dispatcher
The Windham County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified candidates to join our team as part-time Emergency Communications Dispatchers. WCSO provides 24/7 emergency dispatch services for the Windham County Sheriff’s Office and the Bellows Falls Police Department. This position is ideal for reliable, detail-oriented professionals who can remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Dispatchers are responsible for answering emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching law enforcement and emergency responders, monitoring communication systems, documenting incidents, and providing critical support to public safety operations. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrate strong communication and computer skills, and successfully pass a background investigation, criminal history check, and motor vehicle records check. Prior public safety dispatch, emergency communications, customer service, or related experience is preferred. Part-time positions are available with flexible scheduling. Candidates must be willing to work day, evening, overnight, weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts as needed. Starting pay is $23.00 per hour, with compensation negotiable based on experience.
