Description: On January 24th, 2026 deputies with the Windham County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence on Mill Brook Road in Putney, Vermont for a reported domestic disturbance. Subsequent investigation revealed that Chelsea Long had assaulted two co inhabitants within the residence causing minor injuries to both. Long was subsequently arrested and issued a criminal citation to appear before the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on January 26th, 2026.

Description: On January 29th, 2026 the Windham County Sheriff's Office were contacted and notified that Raymond A, King of Bellows Falls had violated his court ordered relief from abuse order by contacting the plaintiff. King was Interviewed on January 30th, 2026 at his residence and taken into custody shortly after.

King was transported to the Windham County Sheriff's Office for processing. At the conclusion of processing, King was issued conditions of release and a flash citation into the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on Monday, February 2nd, 2026 at 1230.

Sexual Assault Arrest

1. Sexual Assault-No consent-Attempt;
2. Assault-Aggravated;
3. Lewd-Lascivious Conduct;

Description: In July of 2025, the Windham County Sheriff's Office began an investigation into Ryan Etheze for sexual assault. Investigation revealed that Etheze attempted to sexually assault a female. Probable cause also existed to charge Etheze with Aggravated Assault and Lewd and Lascivious Conduct stemming from this incident.

A Detective with the Windham County Sheriff's Office applied for and was granted an arrest warrant for Etheze in October of 2025. Over the course of several months, the Windham County Sheriff's Office attempted to locate Etheze with the assistance of other law enforcement agencies in Vermont and New Hampshire. Etheze surrendered to deputies on 1/7/26 where he was held without bail and lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility. Etheze will be seen in court on 1/8/26 at 1 pm.
