Description: On the above date and time, Andrew Tantillo was arrested by the Windham County Sheriff's Office after the vehicle he was operating was observed to be traveling 101 mph in the 65 mph zone on I 91 in Rockingham. Andrew was released from the scene on a citation to appear in the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date. He was also issued a traffic ticket for the civil speeding violation.

Charges: Ignition Interlock Device Violation

Description: On 03/17/23 at approximately 1103 hours, Gary L Clay was arrested by the Windham County Sheriff's Office after his vehicle was observed to be traveling without a visible registration plate. During the stop it was discovered that he was operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device installed which is required per his license restrictions. Clay was released on a citation to appear in the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date and the vehicle was removed by a licensed operator.

Description:
At about 11:15 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2023, approximately 34 mailboxes were damaged during an incident of what appears as "mailbox baseball".

The Sheriff's office received this complaint Monday the 20th of March and many have reported to this office their information to be added to the case.

The Sheriff's Office has received some unverified tips, that have not been confirmed and is seeking any video coverage or witnesses that may have seen any helpful information about this crime.

Deputy Gallup is still asking victims that have not called in yet to contact him at 802-365-4942

There also is a belief that damage to privately owned mailboxes is a Federal Crime, this is not true, the damage to the mailboxes falls under local jurisdiction, however, mail and packages damaged or stolen does fall under Federal jurisdiction.

Description:

On March 23rd, 2023 at approximately 16:32, Deputies with the Windham County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a disturbance between two roommates at a residence in the town of Putney. While en route to the residence deputies were notified that the caller was struck with a car jack and was injured. The initial arriving Deputies found the caller outside the residence and proceeded to enter the home where they found Smith. After questioning Smith and based off the totality of the circumstances Smith was placed under arrest for domestic assault.

Smith was transported to the Windham County Sheriff's Office were he was processed and released with conditions and Flash Cited to appear in court on the date below.

Description: On March 24th, 2023, at approximately 23:40 hours, Deputies from the Windham County Sheriff's Office learned that Michael Roy was at a residence on Westminister Rd in the town of Putney, VT. Roy had a active arrest warrant and was subsequently arrested at his residence.

Roy was transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department and processed. Once processing was completed Roy was then transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility and held on bail.

Charges: Animal Cruelty (Misdemeanor)

Description: On 1/27/23 a dog in very poor condition was located running at large on Franklin Rd in Vernon. The dog was picked up and taken to the Windham County Humane Society where it was later euthanized due to its condition.

The dog's owner was identified and following an extensive investigation, Kayla Merriam of Vernon was arrested for the above offense. She was released on a citation to appear in the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.

Description: On March 18th, at approximately 2340 hours, a deputy assigned to a highway safety detail stopped a vehicle on Putney Rd. in Brattleboro. The operator, Kristen Riley, showed signs of impairment. Riley was subsequently screened and was arrested soon after. She was processed at the Windham County Sheriff's Office, where she was released on a citation after processing.

Description: On March 18, 2023, at approximately 2337 hours, a deputy with the Windham County Sheriff's Office, assigned to a Highway Safety Detail, observed a vehicle traveling North on I-91 in Westminster driving in the breakdown lane portion of the highway. After the vehicle exited the interstate, he also observed the vehicle fail to stop for the stop sign at the end of the ramp.

After further investigation, Kristin M. Leggett was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol, rendering her unsafe to operate a motor vehicle.

After arrest and processing, Kristin was released on a criminal citation to appear in the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date. Kristin was held at the Southern State Correctional Facility until sober.

Bellows Falls Police Department assisted with the investigation.

Description: On March 17th, 2023, at approximately 21:57 pm, A Deputy with the Windham County Sheriff's Office working a Governor Highway Safety detail in the town of Dummerston, observed a vehicle traveling south on Route 5 with no taillights. The observing deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and upon speaking with the operator, clues of impairment were observed. At this point an investigation for operating under the influence was conducted. The operator of the vehicle was identified as, Patricia A, Blomgre and based on the totality of the circumstances, Blomgren was found to be unsafe to operate a motor vehicle. She was subsequently arrested for DUI.

Blomgren was processed at the Windham County Sheriff's Office and released on citation to appear at a later date for the charges of DUI #1.

Bailee was released at the scene on a citation to appear in the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date. She was also issued a traffic ticket for the civil speeding violation.
