Description: On the aforementioned date and time a Deputy with the Windham County Sheriff's Office assigned to patrol the town of Vernon VT, received a complaint from the towns road agent that there were two individuals a male and female walking around knocking on doors asking for money and ride, because their vehicle was broke down.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the male subject identified as Kyle Patten, to have an active in state warrant. It was also revealed he had conditions of release. The female subject identified as Kiersten J. Hoag also has an instate warrant.
Both Subjects were brought back to the Windham County Sheriff's Office for processing and then transported to Southern State Correctional Facility.

Description: On the aforementioned date and time, a Deputy with the Windham County Sheriff's Office received a call for a Vehicle traveling east on Rte 11 having issues staying in the lanes. Shortly after vehicle was observed and a traffic stop was initiated for operation.
Upon making contact with the operator, clues of impairment were observed. The Operator Steven D. Wall was arrested after an investigation. Wall was placed under arrest then transported to the Windham County Sheriff's Office for processing. Wall was later released on a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court-Criminal Division at a later date.

Description: On December 24th, 2025, at approximately 2317 hours, a deputy with the Windham County Sheriff's Office assigned to a highway safety campaign, stopped a vehicle on Interstate 91 in the Town of Brattleboro for a speeding violation. The operator, David S. Kaczmarski of South Deerfield, MA displayed clues of alcohol impairment. After a roadside investigation, Kaczmarski was found to be impaired by alcohol rendering him unable to operate a motor vehicle safely. Kaczmarski was arrested and transported to the Windham County Sheriff's Office for processing. At the conclusion of processing, he was issued a criminal citation to appear at a later date and released to a sober adult.

Description: On the aforementioned date and time a deputy with the Windham County Sheriff's Office conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 5 in the Town of Westminster Vermont after a black 2025 Ford Expedition speeding. Subsequent investigation revealed that the operator identified as Matthew Shanks of Westminster Vermont was impaired by alcohol and unsafe to operate a motor vehicle. Shanks was placed under arrest and transported to the Windham County Sheriff's Office for processing.
Shanks was then released to a sober adult and issued a Vermont Criminal Citation to appear before the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.

Description: On the above date and time, Deputy with the Windham County Sheriff's Office was on scheduled patrol the town of Vernon when he observed a moving violation. As the Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the operator accelerated rapidly and began passing multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was eventually stopped behind a nearby factory. The operator was identified as 50 year old Matthew L. Dix of Winchester, NH. Dix was taken into custody without further incident and was brought to the Windham County Sheriff's Office for processing. Dix was cited to appear in Windham County Superior Court at a later date.

He was also issued traffic tickets for the civil speeding violation and for operating without a valid operator's license as his privilege to operate in NH was under suspension.
