DUI Arrest- Westminster

Description: On May 9th, 2025 deputies with the Windham County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 5 in Westminster for a speed violation. subsequent investigation led deputies to believe the operator Liam Styles was under the influence of alcohol.

Styles consented to standardized field sobriety tests and at the conclusion of those tests was placed under arrest. Styles was transported to the Bellows Falls Police Department to be processed. Styles was then released to a sober adult on a citation to appear in the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.

Age: 40
City & State of Residence: Westfield, MA
Charges:

1) Driving under the influence first offense

Description: On May 18th, 2025 at approximately 0022 hours, deputies with the Windham County Sheriff's Office located a vehicle on Interstate 91 northbound in the area of the Welcome center stopped on the right side of the road with part of the vehicle in the right travel lane. A deputy checked on the operator who was found to be asleep with the vehicle running. Deputies woke the operator up and observed several clues of impairment.

Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Jason A, Smidy for driving under the influence. Smidy was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing and at the conclusion of processing he was issued a Vermont criminal citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.
